Description
You'll be part of a dedicated team ensuring safe, reliable water services across one of New Zealand's most breathtaking regions.
You'll operate and maintain water treatment systems to provide safe, high-quality water for our Grey District communities.
Main work tasks include :
Assisting with Utilities Duties – Drinking Water
Water breaks & emergency work
Hydrant flow testing, including painting & reflectorised blue markers
Site reinstatement
Reservoir cleaning
Clearing access tracks
Flushing of all dead-lines
Assisting with Utilities Duties – Stormwater
SW breaks & emergency work
SW Flap gate checks & clearing
Inlet checks and clearing
Sump checks and cleaning of gratesHydro blasting maintenance on SW lines
Assisting with Utilities Duties – Wastewater
Hydro blasting maintenance on wastewater lines
Wastewater breaks & emergency work
Manhole lifting and inspection
Skills and Experiences
Required
Interest in providing a high-quality three waters (drinking water, stormwater, and wastewater) service to the community
Willingness to overtime and weekends if necessary
Desirable
Class 2 driver's licence and WTR endorsements
New Zealand Certificate in Infrastructure or any water-related qualification / experience
