- About the Role
- We currently have casual roles for experienced PACU nurses to join our team at Waitakere Hospital.
- About the Team / Service / Location
- Our Surgical Unit based at Waitakere hospital provides elective surgery, acute obstetrics and elective endoscopy services.
The PACU unit is currently open Monday - Friday 07 : 30 -21 : 00.
Fully rostered shifts will be required to cover nights for patients requiring 24 hour stay.
About youTo be considered we need to following :New Zealand Registered Nurse, with a current Annual Practising CertificateA minimum of 2 years PACU experiencePaediatric experience will be n added advantageAt least 3 years experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute hospital settingProviding service excellence to our patients is essential.Creating an environment that is welcoming, professional and supports quality service delivery is a priority.You will need to be focused, have excellent communication skills, be motivated and have experience being a member of a team working collaboratively to facilitate and co-ordinate care that achieves optimum health outcomes.The successful applicant should have a reputation for a positive and dynamic approach to nursing and teamwork.
They should be well organised, flexible and able to manage the demands of competing priorities in a busy clinical environment.We are a team that works at pace; with passion, vision and intent.
