About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Security Analyst to join our close-knit IT department in Auckland. This will be a full-time permanent role based in Ellerslie.
The successful candidate will operate under the direction of the Infrastructure Security Lead, and will support the company’s information security strategy and practice by providing maintenance and support towards core infrastructure as well as security compliance operations. This includes facilitating governance and monitoring of adherence to security standards.
Responsibilities
- Take a lead role in maintaining a highly available, secure environment for users, services and core infrastructure.
- Be heavily involved in incident and change management activities for both internal and externally facing systems.
- Implement and maintain cyber-security directives from the Head Information Security Officer.
- Ensure all project tasks and duties are performed in line with an applicable SoW (Statement of Work) functional deliverables, processes and requirements.
- Assist with the selection and implementation of suitable technology to streamline internal processes, systems, and reporting.
- Comply with all applicable business, security, and industry specific legislative / regulatory requirements.
- Provide prompt monthly reporting based around recent project tasks, significant outage events, deployments, and any other operational problems.
- Perform regular scanning of networks, applications and systems for vulnerabilities and security concerns and remediate issues where appropriate.
- Actively support the team by creating documentation to support business processes and meet compliance objectives.

As the ideal candidate, you will be able to handle a variety of daily operations-related work with competing priorities. Your proactive approach will see you assist in introducing new initiatives and improvements to the system.
Mandatory :
Industry qualifications and or experience pertaining to Cyber SecurityProven experience (at least 2-3 years) working as a Cyber Security professionalExperience with Windows and Linux OSFront-end application experience (i.e., IIS, Apache, Nginx, and other webservers)Ability to analyse and understand network and security logsSocial engineering and phishing awarenessComprehensive problem-solving skillsPositive and proactive attitudeAbility to respond to incidents onsite or be available to handle calls after-hours as neededAbility to identify, cleanse and prevent malware infectionsPreferred :
Relevant Information Technology qualifications and or experienceExposure to ISO, PCI and SOC2 security standardsLoad balancing technologies both software and hardwareExperience working in a high security IT environmentWhat We Offer
