QA Engineer – Freelance

Overview

This role focuses on establishing a robust frontend testing environment for an internal Go / Vue3 application. The project team has extensive experience in building complex applications but currently lacks comprehensive frontend test coverage. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up the foundational test infrastructure, implementing initial smoke tests, and providing clear documentation to support future test development.

Responsibilities

• Set up a frontend testing environment using Cypress or a comparable technology.
• Implement up to five basic smoke tests to validate core application functionality.
• Create comprehensive documentation outlining the testing setup and guidelines for future test development.
• Optionally, prepare the infrastructure to support domain-specific tests that can be triggered by changes in designated areas of the codebase.
