The Role
We're looking for a Senior Pumping & Irrigation Technician to bring hands-on expertise to the installation, servicing, and maintenance of pumping, irrigation, reticulation, effluent, and control / monitoring systems.
You'll play a key role in delivering engineered solutions end-to-end, while being supported by a strong, experienced team.
What you'll do
New project design.
You will work alongside the Company Director (Davieth Verheij) and / or other senior colleagues to complete new system design work and pricing.
Project management, execution and commissioning.
You will lead your own projects with support from your colleagues.
This includes collating materials, facilitating contractors, completing site works and completing job cards.
You will work closely with the customer (typically a farmer).
Clear communication around timing, job processes, expectations and updates are essential.
Install & maintain water and effluent treatment, pumping, reticulation, irrigation and control / monitoring systems
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control system faults
Carry out preventative maintenance and system inspections
Provide technical support and leadership in the field
What we're looking for
A proactive mindset and genuine interest in sustainable farming solutions
A strong team player who values collaboration and culture
Naturally self-driven, reliable, and organised, with the ability to see tasks through to completion
A high level of experience in water, irrigation, wastewater / effluent systems, engineering or another rural role would be advantageous but not essential.
We have a knowledgeable team that can support the right person.
Strong mechanical & electrical fault-finding skills
Current driver's license (essential)
