Ko Taku Reo Deaf Education New Zealand is seeking two dynamic Curriculum Resource Development Teachers to join our national team.
THE ROLE / TE MAHI
In this pivotal role, you'll lead the development of high-quality, accessible teaching and learning resources tailored to the needs of Deaf and Hard of Hearing (D / HH) akonga.
With a strong focus on the English and Mathematics learning areas of the New Zealand Curriculum, you'll collaborate with teaching teams to design innovative, evidence-based materials that support classroom practice and enhance student outcomes.
You'll work closely with the Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Team to prioritise projects and ensure alignment with national and international best practices in Deaf education.
Your work will span both digital and in-person environments, using video, online platforms and classroom-based support to embed effective teaching strategies.
There is flexibility where these roles are based.
Strong digital fluency and project management skills
A collaborative mindset and ability to work independently
Passion for inclusive education and supporting diverse learners
Experience adapting Ministry of Education resources for specific learning needs
An understanding of Deaf culture and NZSL proficient or a genuine commitment to learning New Zealand Sign Language
