We are seeking an experienced and passionate lead ESOL teacher (New Zealand Teachers Council Registered Teacher) to oversee and develop our English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) programme from Y1–13 and contribute to literacy learning support across Y7-13 . The ideal candidate will have strong pedagogical knowledge, proven experience with EAPs (Y11–13) , and a commitment to supporting English language learners to thrive across all levels.
This dual-role position includes leadership of a small but dedicated team consisting of one teacher (0.2 FTTE) and a teacher aide (15 hours per week). You will manage the ESOL budget, guide effective teaching and assessment practice, and ensure that programmes align with ELLP Pathways , Know Your Learner , and ESOL funding processes . The successful candidate will also support students with diverse learning needs, working collaboratively with staff and whānau to promote inclusive education.
