Academic Learning Advisor

We are seeking an Academic Learning Advisor to join our Library and Learning Services team. This role is pivotal in supporting ākonga (students) across all levels and disciplines by providing evidence-based academic learning support, advice, and guidance. You will help improve learner confidence, competence, and independence, enhancing their learning experience and supporting retention and achievement.

The appointing salary for this role will be between $62,559.00 and $86,667.00 , dependent on skills and experience.

The Academic Learning Advisor is based in our Library and Learning Services division in Tairāwhiti , reporting to the Library and Learning Services Manager , and will be responsible for :

• Providing academic learning support (study skills, literacy, numeracy, digital literacy, academic integrity, and research skills).
• Developing and delivering targeted workshops and resources for ākonga and staff.
• Using data and insights to design and improve academic support services.
• Collaborating with colleagues to create a holistic, inclusive learning environment.
• Monitoring and evaluating the impact of academic learning support on learner success.
