This is a permanent role, available on a full-time (40 hours per week) or part-time basis for the right candidate.As a Community Support Worker, you'll build strong, trusting relationships with tangata whaiora (clients), helping them develop and maintain living skills, relationships, and daily activities.

You will support clients in achieving their goals and being active participants in their communities.Fluency in New Zealand Sign Language (NZSL) is essential, and verbal communication skills would be ideal, especially for coordinating appointments, advocating for clients in health settings, and addressing urgent situations.

While NZSL is the primary mode of communication, verbal skills are beneficial for liaising with external services, ensuring safety, and maintaining efficient team communication.He Korero Mou | About YouWe are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual who is passionate about making a difference and embodies our values.

To thrive in this role, you will have : Fluency in New Zealand Sign Language (NZSL) and strong verbal communication skills (essential)A National Certificate in Mental Health Support Work Level 4 or equivalent qualificationAt least two years' experience working in mental health, addiction, intellectual disability, or social services in New ZealandA full, clean New Zealand driver's licenseAbility to build meaningful relationships with clients and whanau through diverse communication stylesKo Ta Matou Mahi | We OfferAt Ka Puta Ka Ora Emerge Aotearoa, you will be part of a warm, welcoming, and safe space that celebrates diversity and lived experience.
