Overview

This role offers variety and impact such as overseeing programmes, events, and services that connect our community with information, culture, and tourism.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a dedicated team and foster strong relationships partners like The Gathering Café and Lysaght Watt Art Gallery.
  • Ensure our facilities are welcoming and well-run.
  • Manage bookings, collections, and promote local tourism and AA services.
  • Shape a space that truly serves South Taranaki.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Confident communicator and natural leader with a "can-do" attitude.
  • Strong local knowledge of South Taranaki, cultural awareness and understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi.
  • Ability to build meaningful relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and engage effectively across diverse audiences.
  • Technical expertise to navigate complex situations and deliver successful outcomes.
  • Legally entitled to work in New Zealand (NZ residency or valid NZ work visa).
  • Preferred : residency class visa applications with priority when the applicant is in New Zealand.
  • Salary

    The salary range for this position is between $83,430 and $92,700 per FTE. The appointed starting level will be dependent on skills and experience and will be discussed during interviews with shortlisted candidates.
