Purpose of the role

As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will be a technical guide, mentor, and coach, providing guidance and support to the team, while encouraging a positive and productive work environment. You will also be responsible for setting project and squad goals, prioritizing and completing initiatives, and delivering results in a product‑led, empowered environment. Your leadership skills, ability to balance multiple partners, and experience in software development and platform engineering will be important to your success in this role.

Key Accountabilities

  • Build, develop, and maintain sophisticated software components, services, and platforms, including frameworks for continuous improvement.
  • Deliver customer value iteratively while building scalable systems aligned with long‑term roadmap goals. Lead and own projects end‑to‑end, acting as a technical lead and mentor to other engineers.
  • Communicate progress and changes clearly to customers, ensuring alignment and visibility. Collaborate with internal and external teams to launch new platforms and resolve platform‑related issues.
  • Participate in system changes, patching, and maintenance, chipping in to standard process development. Support audit preparation and participation, ensuring accurate documentation for security, licensing, and regulatory compliance.
  • Implement controls and procedures to address compliance gaps and mitigate risks.

Essential Skills And Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient in C# and Python (preferred), with experience in developing scalable, cross‑platform solutions and automation scripting. Well‑versed in systems design and integration, including solving large‑scale distributed production systems.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS or Azure) and core services such as identity platforms, networking, storage, databases, MDM, and retail systems is a good to have. Skilled in supporting and scaling infrastructure services, with a focus on reliability and performance.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, capable of engaging customers from peers to senior leaders to gain requirements, explain work, and resolve issues.
  • Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify root causes and develop effective solutions. Adaptable and dedicated, able to work independently or collaboratively, navigate ambiguity, and proactively find resources to get the job done.
