The Administrator of Sistema Aotearoa ensures the smooth operation, coordination and evaluation of the programme. They maintain tools and communications that support a dedicated and skilled teaching team to deliver over 1500 in and after‑school music sessions a year and performances at multiple venues with arts and community partners.
The role suits someone who is accurate, adaptable, has strong digital literacy, and has confidence using Microsoft 365 and other cloud‑based admin and communication tools. You don’t need to know every platform we use, but you should enjoy learning new systems and be comfortable troubleshooting small issues or liaising with our IT support provider. Experience with online databases, simple design / layout tools, or email communication platforms would be an advantage.
The role is located at Ōtara Music and Arts Centre (ŌMAC) in Auckland and may require occasional attendance at any venue where Sistema Aotearoa activity takes place including partner schools, ECE centres, and other performance venues. The role reports to the General Manager and connects to the community and cultures of South Auckland.
The Administrator must be able to work alongside others (kotahitanga) and participate in upskilling and professional learning opportunities. The part‑time (20 hours per week) role is largely based around office hours, with flexibility for frequent after‑school lesson support and occasional evening events.
