Phase 2 teacher (Y4–5)+ leadership opportunities

Full time, Permanent

Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacher

English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Maori, The arts

Huapai District School is seeking a passionate and innovative kaiako to join our dedicated Phase 2 team (Y4–5), whose practice is built on a strong foundation of knowledge, driven by a desire to make a difference to our akonga through our core values :

Optional leadership opportunities(units attached) : Whanau leader or sports coordinator

We are also offering you the opportunity to apply for one of the following roles, allowing you to inspire, mentor, and foster professional growth across the school.

As whanau leader, you will :

Inspire and Mentor : Foster professional growth within your team through coaching and reflective practice.

Oversee Student Wellbeing : Champion the pastoral care and academic success of all Phase 2 students.

Innovate & Champion : Lead the implementation of forward-thinking teaching and learning practices across the phase.

Collaborate : Ensure cohesion and consistency across Y4, 5 and 6, aligning practice with the school's vision.

2. Sports coordinator (1MU)

We are seeking a highly organised and enthusiastic individual to lead the successful operation of our sports programmes through :

Organising and Managing : Oversee the logistics for all inter-school and intra-school sports events.

Promoting Participation : Encourage high levels of student involvement and a culture of positive sportsmanship.

Administrative Oversight : Ensure all administrative and compliance requirements for sports are met.
