About the Role

We have a permanent part time opportunity within our Northern team for a Registered Nurse, Immunisation, to provide Outreach Immunisation Services across Te Tai Tokerau.

You will provide comprehensive immunisation coordination service focusing on Secondary Service Providers, founded on the principles of the treaty of Waitangi.

Assist and support the Immunisation Coordinator in decreasing vaccine preventable diseases in Northland through improved immunisation coverage.

Assist with Education and Training of Clinical staff about immunisation with the support of the Immunisation Coordinator.

Support the delivery of Immunisation Programmes and Mass Immunisation campaigns

You will be able to utilise advanced nursing knowledge and skills through reflective practice, critical thinking and professional judgement to provide competent care and advice while working to top of scope.

A commitment to achieving equitable outcomes for underserved whanau and communitiesCurrent registration with Nursing Council of New Zealand as a Registered NurseHolds a current Annual Practising CertificateHold a minimum of a proficient portfolio in an approved PDRP or equivalent with a commitment to continue through the programmeExperienced Authorised VaccinatorExperience in the management and understanding of cold chain processesSound knowledge of NZ immunisation schedule and ability to manage catch up schedulingFull Drivers Licence
