Our organisation recognises Te Tiriti o Waitangi as the founding document of this nation and therefore, guided by the tenets thereof expects that Māori consumers of Disability services and their whānau have the same rights to the highest standards of mātauranga mate hinengaro care as everyone else. This means addressing the disparities in Disability for Māori consumers and ensuring that tangata whaiora and their whānau receive the highest standards of professional assistance in actively managing the issues that the people we support face daily.
We require competent and professional support workers who have experience working with Behaviour Management, Autism and supporting people with an Intellectual Disability. Applicants must be competent and understand the needs of clients with a level of independence in addition to working with people with high and complex needs.
