We have an exciting vacancy to join an expanding Kaupapa Māori team. Iwi and hapū within our district have told us the importance of reflecting their views and aspirations in Council's planning instruments such as the Long Term Plan and District Plan. We are seeking a person who will work with iwi and hapū to bring their views and aspirations into the development of those plans and other planning processes within Council. The role also provides the opportunity to work as part of Council's strategic response to legislative reform, particularly as it relates to kaupapa Māori.

You are a person with sound planning experience who understands the process of developing planning instruments such as the Long Term Plan and District Plan but will also be able to ensure that the views and aspirations of Māori will be captured within the development of those plans.
