Systems Engineer

We are looking for a Systems Engineer who can help us to maintain a safe and secure technology environment. Someone who enjoys getting into the details and working within a team who are focussed on providing highly available, easy to use technology solutions for the 1,800 people we support. This role reports to the infrastructure team lead and is part of a Infrastructure team of 5 and a wider IS team of 30. We tend to undertake most work internally so the range and scope of the work is wide ranging.

As a Systems Engineer, you will :

• Monitor and respond to security alerts from Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and Defender for Office 365
• Manage and tune security policies across Microsoft Defender, Intune and Purview.
• Maintain and review Conditional Access policies to enforce Zero Trust principles.
• Champion and support security improvements in Microsoft 365 and Azure environments
• Oversee backup and recovery strategy with a security lens, including ransomware resilience
• Oversee a robust patch management program

Hours : Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with some flexibility to your office hours.
