The Waikato Cathedral Church of St Peters – Hamilton, North Island
The Waikato Cathedral Church of St Peter is looking for a communications person to work with Cathedral staff and the fundraising group for seismic strengthening and restoration of the Cathedral.
The position is for 40 hours per month, split equally between the fundraising group and the Cathedral office, for an initial contract period of six months.
The contractor would consult with the chair of the Fundraising Group and the Dean of the Cathedral for their respective instructions and would be liaising with other staff such as the Wardens and Treasurer.
The work includes revising and maintaining the website, managing social media (Facebook and Instagram), editing of videos, preparing copy and producing the bimonthly newsletter, designing and assisting with distribution of advertising for special events such as fundraising, concerts and seasonal services.
The contractor would be able to work from home but there would be some work in the office required in order to fulfil the role.
