Yr 7 / 8 Classroom Teacher teaching in an Bilingual / Māori Immersion Classroom

Manukorihi Intermediate School is seeking a passionate, dynamic reo Māori kaiako to lead learning in our bilingual / Māori immersion class, Te Mātā Taiohi . This is a special opportunity to inspire and guide the next generation of rangatahi in a space where te reo Māori, tikanga, and Te Ātiawatanga are lived and celebrated every day.

Our Board of Trustees values and resourced the bilingual / Māori immersion kopa well so there will be a full time kaiawhina working alongside the kaiako to support them and the taiohi.

Our whānau aspire for a kaiako who :

• Embeds te ao Māori , tikanga, and Te Ātiawatanga authentically in their teaching and practice.
• Builds strong, respectful relationships with tamariki, whānau, hapū, and iwi.
• Inspires pride in identity, resilience, and leadership through our WHAIA values (Whakawhanaungatanga, Hauora, Akoranga, Ihi, Aroha).
