About the role
We are looking for a Regional Planner to play a key role in shaping and implementing our regional / district plans that integrate heritage, recreation, biodiversity and community priorities within the Central North Island region.
You will collaborate across the region to ensure that planning and performance activities support long-term outcomes while providing guidance and advice to our district leadership teams.
The position will be focussed on :
Working with local teams to establish priorities and ensure regional context is reflected in our planning.
Performance monitoring and reporting, providing assurance on progress toward targets.
Contributing to regional reports and making recommendations.
Supporting regional tasks in support of the Central North Island Director and Regional Leadership Team.
Supporting improvement initiatives that advance conservation outcomes and regional capability and culture.
Supporting our region with funding bids for reactive work, and 10-year capital planning for strategic outcomes.
Skills and experience
Strong analytical and reporting skills
Experience in planning, financial management systems, and performance improvement
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including report writing and presenting data insights effectively
Experience in long-term planning and writing of business cases
Knowledge of asset management principles and practices
Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and work across multiple disciplines
A solutions-focused mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and influence positive outcomes
Full New Zealand driver licence
