Senior Accountant / Client Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Accountant / Client Manager to take ownership of an established client portfolio and play an integral role in helping our clients and team thrive.

This opportunity has arisen as one of our valued team members moves on to the next chapter in their career, creating the chance for a new team member to step into a well-established role within our growing firm.

You will step into a well-supported position with long-standing client relationships already in place, managing a premium portfolio of clients.

Day to day, you will :

Prepare and review financial statements, GST and tax returns

Oversee client compliance and reporting deadlines

Provide practical accounting support and guidance

Manage a portfolio of clients and build lasting relationships

Work closely with your team to maintain high-quality service standards

What you'll bring

5+ years' experience in Public Practice accounting in New Zealand

CA / CPA qualification (or working toward it)

Solid understanding of NZ tax and compliance requirements

Confident using Xero, XPM, and Microsoft Office

A positive, proactive approach and strong attention to detail
