This is an exciting opportunity - We're seeking a motivated and experienced professional to lead the operational delivery of our newly established Raw Milk Testing team based in Hamilton.
What you'll do
The Team Leader role will involve organising routine operations and managing a team.
You will have line management for a small number of staff and will work in collaboration with other Team Leaders and Operations Support to ensure the team objectives and goals are met.
You will report directly to the Section Manager for Raw Milk testing and work within the larger Operations area of our business.
Core functions of this Team Leader role will include; organising and coordinating daily routine operations, day to day managing of staff and ensuring that team KPI's such as 'turn-around times' are achieved.
This role will also be heavily involved in helping establish a full suite of accredited services that meet the needs of dairy companies seeking raw milk testing services.
What you'll bring
Previous staff management / supervisory experience in a similar role, including staff training and resource planning.
Previous raw milk testing experience would be favourable.
Sound experience of technical laboratory processes.
Excellent operational focus with attention to time management, prioritisation and work allocation to achieve the required KPI's.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Team player who can work collaboratively and create a good working relationship with other staff in the team and across the business.
Actively contributes to and supports change initiatives.
The successful candidate will have a proven history of high personal and professional work standards in a laboratory environment with ideally a minimum of 4 years previous laboratory and / or staff management experience.
