About the Role
The Change Manager serves as a national-level thought leader within Health NZ's Digital Services Directorate, reporting to the Capability Manager - Change and Adoption. This role is responsible for providing expert advice and strategic oversight to support the successful adoption and implementation of digital initiatives across all delivery streams. Working closely with the Delivery Enablement team, the Change Manager conducts change impact assessments, offers guidance on managing digital transitions, and ensures smooth execution of change management activities. Additionally, the role plays a key part in mentoring Change Analyst teams, fostering continuous improvement, and overseeing the ongoing development of the Digital Services Management of Change framework, tools, and resources to enhance the effectiveness of change initiatives.

The Change Manager role is part of the Change and Adoption function within Health NZ's Digital Services Directorate. Reporting to the Capability Manager - Change and Adoption, this position supports a national team dedicated to driving the successful adoption and implementation of digital initiatives across the organization. The team is focused on providing strategic change management guidance, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring best practices in managing digital transitions. Collaborating closely with delivery teams, analysts, and stakeholders, the team plays a vital role in enabling effective digital transformation and supporting positive outcomes for clinical, consumer, and corporate stakeholders.
About you
You are an experienced change management professional with a proven track record of leading and supporting complex digital transformation initiatives. You bring a strategic mindset, strong leadership skills, and the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders effectively. Comfortable working in dynamic, fast-paced environments, you understand how to balance people, processes, and technology to drive successful adoption of change. With a deep commitment to continuous improvement and cultural responsiveness, you contribute to embedding best practices that support lasting organizational impact.
