  • About the Role
  • We arelooking for a passionate full time experienced Occupational Therapist. Thisrole involves working as a CAMHS clinician within the Wellington CAMHS team. Therole is an integral part of our MDT and works in partnership with infants,children, the young person and their whānau providing mental health assessment and treatment.This could be individual or group work, creative or talking therapies,occupation focused and involve interacting with schools, families and across arange of environments. Youwould be part of Wellington CAMHS, as well as have the support of other youthsector occupational therapists across the region. There are opportunities forongoing training, development and supervision.

  • The Wellington CAMHS team is a passionateand enthusiastic multidisciplinary team with a commitment to providingexcellent services in assessment and intervention for young people and theirwhānau with moderate to severe mental health concerns.   • About you
  • Important Skills you will hold to be considered for this role :
  • NZ Registered Occupational therapist.
  • Ideally an experienced practitioner, with mental health skills and expertise, or a passion to learn to work with children, adolescents and their families, bi-cultural and multi-cultural work practices.
  • Ideally you will have an experience or an interest to work in Group work, sensory modulation, and either DBT, EMDR, family therapy, or trauma.
  • Be comfortable working autonomously and co-working.
  • Be competent at managing risk.
  • Enjoy creating a collaborative working space in a demanding service and maintain excellent relationships within the team and other services.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the intent of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and work to address the inequitable health outcomes for Māori, as Tangata whenua and other high needs groups.
  • Hold a Full NZ drivers licence.
