We specialise in water network maintenance and reticulation renewal construction. We service almost a quarter of properties nationwide; and we maintain over 20,000kms of pipe network. About the job :
We’re looking for an experienced Finance & Administration Lead to join our team in Thames.
The role involves :
- Supporting financial administration including purchase orders, invoicing, reconciliations, and monthly claims, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contract requirements.
- Providing contract and project support by managing claims, coding, cost allocation, and maintaining clear, auditable financial records.
- Building effective relationships with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors, delivering timely responses and professional customer service.
- Leading and mentoring the administrator and scheduler, fostering collaboration, capability development, and continuous improvement.
- Championing health, safety, and quality standards while driving process improvements and personal development to enhance overall performance.
What you’ll need :
Minimum of 5–6 years’ experience and / or relevant qualifications (NCEA Level 3 or equivalent NZ Certificate).Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong skills in Excel (intermediate to advanced level).Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues.Proactive and self-motivated, with a focus on anticipating needs and providing support before issues arise.Proven leadership ability with experience in motivating teams, improving performance, and communicating effectively both in writing and verbally.All preferred candidates will be required to complete preemployment checks to the employer’s satisfaction. These checks include but are not limited to, Ministry of Justice criminal conviction report, medical assessment, and drug and alcohol testing.
