Responsibilities
As Programme Lead at Youthtown, you’ll drive the delivery of high-impact, values-based programmes that empower our rangatahi. This includes leading a diverse mix of initiatives such as youth mentoring programmes, after-school and holiday programmes, and outdoors / EOTC programmes delivered across our youth hubs, schools and community spaces. You’ll also deliver our Enterprise programme, developed in collaboration with rangatahi and the University of Auckland, supporting young people (Years 11–13) as they explore entrepreneurship, grow business acumen, and build essential life skills like communication, teamwork, and resilience.
Role details
This is a full-time role (40 hours per week) on a fixed term contract for 1 year. Flexibility is essential, as some sessions may run in the evenings or weekends.
Qualifications & skills
You’ll bring exceptional communication and facilitation skills, with a proven ability to connect with young people and inspire them to think big. You’ll be confident leading a team, coordinating programme logistics, and switching between admin and delivery with ease. Experience in youth development is a plus. You’ll also have a knack for building strong relationships with schools, community partners, and other external stakeholders.
A full, clean New Zealand driver’s licence and at least 2 years of driving experience is required (including Restricted licence experience).
