Long Bay College is a co‑educational secondary school located in a peaceful location near Long Bay Beach and the new Long Bay Village. The school opened in 1975 and has approximately 1900 students with 170 teaching and support staff combined.

Position Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic itinerant teachers to support our 2026 music programme in the following areas. These roles have the ability to be combined or to be separate. Please state your preference in your cover letter.

• Bass Guitar – 2 hours class contact per week (0.1 FTTE)
• Vocals – 4 hours class contact per week (0.2 FTTE)
• Piano – 4.5 hours class contact per week (0.225 FTTE)
• Strings – 4 hours class contact per week (0.2 FTTE)

Key Responsibilities

These positions are to commence in 2026. They require the preparation and ability to prepare students from beginners to Level 3 NCEA.

Qualifications

All potential candidates need to hold either a current teacher registration or limited authority to teach (LAT).

The terms and conditions are set by the Secondary Teachers' Collective Agreement.
