You'll work alongside Regional Asset Managers and other engineering teams to develop and maintain forward works plans for rail infrastructure across the country.This includes preparing accurate three-year and ten-year asset forecasts, ensuring our plans align with KiwiRail's long-term strategies, and monitoring performance against objectives.
You'll help us make evidence-based decisions that support reliable services, smart investment, and a great customer experience.What you will bringWe're looking for someone who combines technical expertise with a collaborative approach.
You will bring : 5–10 years' experience in asset management planning, scheduling, or works managementStrong analytical and data-visualisation skills using tools such as Power BI, Excel, or GISWorking knowledge of engineering standards and processesAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and an understanding of how KiwiRail operates within government frameworksA relevant engineering degree or equivalent experienceA current New Zealand driver's licence and willingness to travel as requiredYou'll also be : Safety-focused and detail-orientedA clear communicator who builds strong relationshipsOrganised, responsive, and dependableCommitted to teamwork and continuous improvementSupportive of KiwiRail's inclusive culture and valuesWhat's in it for youAt KiwiRail, you'll be part of a national team helping to deliver a safe, reliable, and sustainable future for New Zealand's transport network.
