With ambitious plans for further national expansion, we are committed to making a lasting impact in the industry.Role OverviewThe Cardo Group are currently recruiting for a Carpentry and Joinery Apprentice to join our team based in the Canterbury area.As a Carpentry and Joinery Apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience and technical skills in woodworking, construction, and building interiors and frameworks.

Under the supervision of qualified tradespeople, you'll work on a range of projects.This apprenticeship combines on-site practical work with classroom-based learning, through a college or training provider, allowing you to earn while you learn and work toward a nationally recognized qualification.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with measuring, cutting, and assembling wood and other materials.Support the construction and installation of structures.Learn to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.Use a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.Maintain a clean and safe work environment.Observe and adhere to health and safety procedures.Knowledge And ExperienceUnderstanding of hand and power toolsAbility to measure, mark out, cut, and assemble wood accuratelyPrecision in measurements and cutsCapable of manual handling and working in physically demanding environmentsGood hand-eye coordination and balanceBasic arithmetic for measuring, estimating, and cutting materialsUnderstanding dimensions and tolerancesKnowledge of basic health and safety proceduresWhy Join Cardo Group?
