- About the role
- We're seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to design and deliver high-quality, reusable data models and analytics products that empower decision-makers across the Authority.
You'll bridge the gap between technical data engineering and business-facing analytics, ensuring our data products are accurate, accessible, and aligned with strategic goals.
This is a hands-on role where you will :Translate business requirements into robust, scalable data models and productsBuild and maintain analytics-ready datasets using SQL and PythonCollaborate with analysts, data scientists, and IT to ensure data integrity and usabilityChampion best practices in data modelling, documentation, and governanceValidate KPIs and metrics to ensure they reflect business logic and regulatory needsSupport self-service analytics through well-designed semantic layers and toolingYou'll work across the full analytics lifecycle - from stakeholder engagement to production deployment - in a lean, agile team that values curiosity, initiative, and impact.Work for usElectricity plays a critical role in the quality of our lives and businesses.As an electricity kaitiaki our work is diverse, challenging and contributes to our communities, economy, environment, and the nation as a whole.
