Job descriptionA Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Strong programming skills in C++ (academic, project, or internship experience). Familiarity with software development in a Linux environment. Basic understanding of Git or similar version control systems. Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to learning new technologies. A passion for robotics, autonomous systems, and contributing to innovative technology development. Desirable but not essential : experience with Python, ROS (Robot Operating System), embedded systems, knowledge of CI / CD pipelines or automated testing, and previous internship or project experience in robotics, aerospace, or C++ software development. Salary range : 60,000 - 70,000 NZD per year (Tauranga). Permanent role based in Mt Maunganui, Tauranga. Start date ASAP or before the end of November 2025.

Your Role
Here’s what you will be doing :
- Assist in the design, development, and testing of software applications for autonomous systems.
- Collaborate with other engineers to integrate software components effectively.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in C++.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to maintaining code quality.
- Support debugging, testing, and performance optimization efforts.
- Contribute to maintaining and organizing the Git repository.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continually improve your skills.
