Health Care Assistant, Emergency Department, WaitakereHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.About the RolesPermanentWe are seeking experienced Health Care Assistant with good communication and interpersonal skills to join our team in the Emergency Department at Waitakere Shore Hospital.Following training and sign off, these roles may include extended responsibilities such as performing phlebotomy, ECGs, point-of-care testing, and monitoring vital signs under the supervision of registered nurses.These positions are rostered Monday - Sunday, therefore you must be prepared to work all shifts this includes nights and weekends.About the Team / Service / LocationYou are expected to work well in a team, have excellent customer service skills and customer service practices, uphold confidentiality and discretion, good command of oral and written English and knowledge and understanding of the health care system.About youTo be considered we will need the following : At least 2 years experience working in an acute environmentKnowledge and understanding of the healthcare systemSomeone who thrives in high energy environments and can prioritise effectivelyA New Zealand Citizen or ResidentWorking at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
