Senior Civil Engineer (Stormwater)

Someone who blends deep technical expertise with a client-focused mindset. You’ll work on a range of interesting and diverse projects and make a visible difference for communities and environments throughout the South Island.

As a senior stormwater specialist, you’ll lead the design and modelling of resilient, practical systems that support subdivisions, infrastructure upgrades, and complex land development projects. Working alongside planners, surveyors, and engineers, you’ll be involved through the end-to-end project cycle as a collaborative team.

What you’ll do

Lead stormwater design and hydrological modelling across a diverse project portfolio.

Deliver innovative conveyance, attenuation, and treatment systems.

Provide trusted advice to clients, councils, and regulators.

Champion compliance with NZ standards and industry best practice.

What you bring

BE (Civil) or equivalent, with 8+ years’ New Zealand experience.

Proven technical expertise in stormwater design and three waters infrastructure.

High-level competency in HEC-HMS (essential); familiarity with 12d Model, HEC-RAS, or SWMM an advantage.

CPEng or on the pathway to chartership (preferred).

A collaborative approach, strong communication skills, and a pragmatic, problem-solving mindset.
