Volunteer Gardener – New Zealand Timber Museum, Putāruru

This role is really important, it keeps the site looking beautiful, looks after all our plants (from native flora to ornamental and forestry-themed gardens), and helps make sure visitors have a lovely experience. You’ll be helping the outdoor spaces complement the museum’s exhibits while keeping everything safe and welcoming.

Requirements

• Physical Ability : Reasonably fit, able to bend, kneel, lift light loads, and work outdoors in all weather.
• Willingness to Learn : Genuine interest in gardening and horticulture and willingness to learn new techniques.
• Interpersonal Skills : Friendly, reliable, and able to work as part of a small team or independently.
