Senior System Engineer

A global Cloud and IT MSP has set up a North Shore office is looking to hire a

Senior Systems Engineer

to jointheir team of 80+ engineers across the UK, US and Europe.

You'll be part of a team delivering a "follow-the-sun" service, providing 24x7 support services across their global client base.

This role is

shift-based

(details below) with daily hand-overs to / from your northern hemisphere colleagues.

The Role

Delivering a wide variety of solutions and services to clients, this role includes :

3-month contract with potential for permanent employment

Level 3 support, troubleshooting, monitoring and configuring systems

Proactive system upgrades and patching

Change management governance and impacts assessments

Maintaining and contributing to the internal knowledge base of technical documentation and SOPs

Identifying and implementing automation opportunities and areas for service delivery improvement

Escalation point for other ICT teams

Your skills and background :

5+ years' relevant experience as a Microsoft Systems Engineer

Strong experience with Windows Server, Group Policy, Active Directory Technologies, Server Technologies, Microsoft Exchange, VMware, Veeam and Hyper-V and Storage Technologies

Experience with cloud tech (Azure, O365, Exchange Online)

Experience supporting and configuring a range of devices

Excellent communication skills, written and verbal

Experience of Enterprise Infrastructures and Data Centre Environments

Shifts :

12-hour days, 4 days on / 4 days off

These will be office-based days, working either 7am to 7pm or 8am to 8pm
