Working with our Head of Media, you'll handle everything from programmatic buying to traditional media planning.

What your days will look like
Crafting strategic media plans
Develop evidence-based media strategies and recommendations for clients ranging from government agencies to health organisations.
You'll analyse audience data, competitive landscapes, and media innovations to identify the optimal channels for each campaign.
Managing the media ecosystem
Handle media bookings, negotiate with suppliers, and monitor campaign performance across digital and traditional platforms.
You'll build strong relationships with media vendors while ensuring every dollar delivers maximum impact.
Diving deep into data
Prepare analytical reports and campaign performance insights that guide strategic decisions.
You'll track what's working, identify optimisation opportunities, and translate complex data into clear recommendations.
Embracing new technologies
Work with cutting-edge programmatic buying platforms and emerging media channels.
You'll help clients navigate the evolving digital landscape while maintaining effectiveness across traditional media.
Connecting with communities
Develop media strategies that authentically reach Maori, Pasifika, and diverse communities.
Working with our cultural leaders, you'll ensure media choices respect cultural preferences and communication patterns.
What you'll bring
For Specialist level (2-4 years experience) :
Strong marketing or media planning experience with demonstrable results
Understanding of media landscape across digital and traditional channels
Experience liaising with media suppliers and managing vendor relationships
Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret campaign data
Knowledge of advertising principles and campaign optimisation
For Senior Specialist level (4-7 years experience) :
All of the above, plus strategic leadership and advanced analytical capabilities
Experience managing complex, multi-channel campaigns and substantial media budgets
Proven ability to mentor team members and contribute to business development
Advanced knowledge of programmatic buying and emerging media technologies
Track record of delivering exceptional campaign performance
What would make you perfect :
Knowledge of behaviour change marketing approaches and social marketing
Understanding of diverse community media consumption patterns
Experience working with government, health, or community sector clients
Commitment to growing knowledge of te ao Maori and cultural media preferences
Certification in Google Ads, Facebook Business Manager, or programmatic platforms
