HighPeak Digital is Hiring AI Engineers - Remote

Part-Time

Contract
Full-Time

Role : Artificial Intelligence Engineer

You will design, train, and deploy AI models into live software used by companies across New Zealand and Australia in sectors such as construction, energy, logistics, manufacturing, and professional services.

Examples of projects you may work on :

AI voice agents for customer service

Automated document and quoting systems

LLM chat portals and RAG search

Data dashboards and predictive tools

Workflow automation and real-time decision systems

Custom AI Projects

Tech Stack

Python, LangChain, OpenAI / Anthropic models, Vector Databases, FastAPI, Postgres, AWS

(plus transformers, embeddings, fine-tuning pipelines, agent frameworks, etc.)

You’re a good fit if you :

Have built AI / ML systems outside of university demos or Kaggle

Can take a model from idea to deployment (end-to-end)

Enjoy solving business problems with AI, not just experimenting

Want ownership, fast iteration, and visible impact

Are interested in helping build one of NZ’s leading AI companies

Requirements

Strong Python and AI engineering experience

Knowledge of neural networks, transformers, NLP, embeddings

Ability to integrate models into real software (APIs, portals, dashboards, etc.)

Comfortable working with product and engineering teams

Degree or proven experience (portfolio and shipped work are more important than formal qualifications)

Bonus Experience (Not Required)

LLM agents, vector databases, RAG pipelines

Supabase / Postgres, Docker, AWS

Voice AI or computer vision

Experience working with NZ or AU businesses

Location

On-site in Auckland (Remote until beginning of Q1 - remote roles at this stage)
