Joining our Line Mechanic Apprenticeship Programme means you are on the path to become a qualified professional responsible for maintenance and repair of our overhead lines.

If you demonstrate a passion for learning and development, you are a highly motivated team player, aspire to be the best at what you do, and are committed learning on the job then then you need to "connect" to this opportunity.

You will learn while you earn and when the program is successfully completed you will have a Level 4 National Certificate, Registration and a Practicing Licence as a Distribution Line Mechanic.

A bit more about you :

You will be someone that enjoys maintaining your fitness and strength, loves the outdoors and is invigorated when undertaking activities at heights.

You are not phased being out in all types of weather conditions, and you enjoy being on a team over working solo.

Skills, experience and qualifications required :

The ability to read and interpret instructions and plans

Comfortable working at heights

Current and valid full driver's license and able to drive manual

Class 2 driver's licence is preferable

Ability to work overtime based on project demands would be beneficial

An understanding of Health and Safety in the workplace

Additionally, if you have experience in the civil or trades space, your application will stand out from the crowd!

Pre-employment tests - Medical and Ministry of Justice

Connetics require all successful applicants to complete a pre-employment Ministry of Justice check, a pre-employment medical test which includes a drug and alcohol test.
