With a strong focus on safety and continuous improvement, PowerNet offers a collaborative and forward-thinking work environment where your expertise will make a real impact.About the RoleYou'll provide engineering and technical support across a range of systems including smart meter mesh networks, SCADA communications, OT network infrastructure, and radio telephone systems.
You'll be involved in fault analysis, network optimisation, hardware configuration, and project delivery — all while collaborating with internal teams and external partners.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor and manage smart meter mesh networks and DA radiosConfigure and troubleshoot OT network routing, firewalls, and traffic controlManage SCADA communications (fibre, microwave, radio) and network securityOversee Crosswire RT dispatch systems and vehicle radio setupsSupport TCP / IP communications for new substations and RF projectsMaintain system documentation and train field staff on network operationsLiaise with customers and partner networks to resolve technical issuesWhat You'll BringTertiary qualification in IT, telecommunications, electrical / electronics, or computer science — or equivalent experienceMinimum 5 years' experience in IT / OT environmentsStrong understanding of communication protocols, cyber security, and converging technologiesHands-on experience with Cisco ISR / ASR routers, VLANs, QoS, OSPF / RIP, and WAN connectivityProficiency in Wireshark, network debugging, and scripting (Python, C#, Bash, Powershell)Familiarity with Azure DevOps, git, Jira, and RF network designExcellent communication skills and ability to build strong working relationshipsWhy Join PowerNet?
