FRONT OFFICE & HR Assistant – BE THE FACE OF OUR TEAM

Location : Cromwell, Central Otago, New Zealand

Season : Summer 25 / 26 (November - January)

Job Type : Casual, Seasonal Work

We’re on the lookout for a friendly, professional, and proactive individual to join our team as a Front Office & HR Assistant .

About the Role

You’ll be the first point of contact for our staff, applicants, and visitors – a key person in creating a welcoming and efficient front office. Alongside reception duties, you’ll support the HR team and may be called upon to help out in other parts of the business when needed. This is a varied role where no two days look the same.

About the Job

  • Greeting visitors and clients with warmth and professionalism
  • Managing phone, email, and messaging enquiries, and directing them accurately
  • Coordinating arrivals : notifying staff and guiding guests
  • Providing HR and administrative support, including recruitment assistance, document management, and system updates
  • Handling mail, parcels, and general office maintenance
  • Assisting other teams as needed to keep the operation running smoothly
  • Organising occasional staff events (e.g., weekly food trucks, staff meals)
  • Ensuring confidentiality and compliance with policies and procedures

  • Strong admin and / or reception experience
  • Clear communicator – confident and approachable
  • Great time management – able to prioritise and multitask
  • Calm under pressure – organised and responsive
  • Reliable and discreet – trustworthy with sensitive information
  • Tech-savvy – comfortable using MS Office and other systems
  • Team player – adaptable and willing to support where needed
