Job description

Join the Ministry for Primary Industries as a Policy Analyst to support New Zealand's food safety system through policy development and stakeholder collaboration.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include :

  • Contributing to the development and maintenance of food safety legislation and regulations
  • Coordinating briefings, responding to correspondence, and supporting legislative processes
  • Collaborating with technical experts and stakeholders to modernise food safety frameworks
  • Engaging with domestic and international partners, including Australian counterparts
  • Working within the Food Policy and Food Policy Trans-Tasman teams in the Regulatory Systems Policy directorate of Policy & Trade

About You

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A methodical, detail-oriented approach with a keen eye for accuracy
  • The ability to write clearly for a range of audiences

  • Salary band and range : General Salary Range F : $76,463 to $89,215 depending on skills and experience
