Senior Registered Nurse | Wellington

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Registered Nurse join our fabulous team at Karori Village in Karori, Wellington to support our residents living with Dementia.

Permanent, full-time position, working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday from 7am to 3.30 pm. This is a hands- on, on the floor role, in our Dementia Unit.

Some of the great things you will be doing

• Supporting, identifying, and upskilling the needs and requirements of the care staff, as well as providing appropriate direction and delegation
• Using your clinical skills to access and identify the needs of our residents to be able to formulate / review individual care plans.
• Ensure compassionate and excellent quality of care is provided to all residents.
• Effective communication and clinical problem-solving skills
• Working closely with the Care Manager to undertake risk management, quality projects and improvements
• Supporting the Care Manager with rostering staff and managing the on-call roster

About you

We are looking for an experience Senior Registered Nurse who can deliver outstanding services to our residents and possess the essential skills and experience :

• Current Practicing Certificate and first aid certificate
• Strong nursing experience in aged care
• Current InterRai certification.
• Experience working in secure Dementia level of care
• Demonstrates excellent leadership and communication skills.
