The Good Home, Lincoln Road is seeking a skilled and experienced Head Chef to join our team. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations and leading our culinary team to deliver high-quality dishes that will keep our customers coming back for more.

This is a full-time position working a minimum of 40 rostered hours per week. Flexibility is key with the ability to be available for late night and weekend shifts.

The Role

  • Planning and directing food preparation in the kitchen, maximising efficiency
  • Managing and supervising all kitchen staff including staff schedules
  • Collaborating with management on budgeting and cost control measures
  • Ensuring the quality and presentation of dishes meets company standards
  • Developing and updating menu items in collaboration with management
  • Monitoring inventory levels and ordering supplies as needed
  • Maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, conducting regular inspections
  • Complying with all health and safety regulations

What you will bring

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef in a high-volume restaurant or catering environment
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to motivate and manage a team
  • In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety regulations, and menu development
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work well under pressure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • A creative approach to menu planning and a passion for delivering high-quality food
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
  • Catering or hospitality qualifications are desirable but not essential
