About the role

Farmers with Halter

are writing the playbook for a new production system, unlocking more productive and sustainable uses of the world's agricultural land.

Halter helps farmers grow more grass and graze land efficiently while monitoring every cow 24 / 7.

The Halter App automates tasks such as cattle handling, pasture measurement, and heat detection, enabling farmers to schedule mobs to meet the dairy, run multiple mobs, and allocate precise feed.

We are searching for a driven hunter with a strong track record to lead Halter's expansion in the Taranaki market.

This is an opportunity to disrupt the industry and pioneer change on high-performing dairy farms.

You will work with a team to lead the Taranaki expansion for one of the world's fastest-growing companies, helping equip farms with Halter technology to transform farming productivity and sustainability.

You will work closely with a passionate Customer team on the ground in the area and be backed by Halter's Auckland HQ to ensure this is a strong opportunity.

What your day could look like

On-farm sales meetings :

Understand prospects' needs and clearly communicate functionality, benefits, and value relative to each farming operation.

Prospecting :

Build and grow a pipeline of quality farms, reduce sales cycle times, and manage new leads through the initial stages of the pipeline including screening and qualifying.

Networking :

Build and leverage industry relationships to establish and maintain Halter's brand.

Forecasting :

Work with the Business Development Manager to enable monthly and quarterly revenue forecasting.

Growth initiatives :

Collaborate to optimise and evolve the sales process to be faster, more efficient, and more predictable as the company scales.

Experience in farm systems or within the agricultural sector.

A hunter who is driven to exceed goals in a sales role and to own the end-to-end sales cycle from lead generation to close.
