He Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a beginning career occupational therapist to join our team as a rotator.

The rotations cover the Medical, Orthopaedic, Rehabilitation wards and Community Allied Health in the Western Bay of Plenty and are 9 months each rotation the position is a permanent full-time role with the expectation that the initial 3 years are rotational through these named areas.

This role is varied and offers the opportunity to improve the wellbeing of patients journeying through previous and new health conditions including but not limited to traumatic brain injury, fractures, amputations, stroke, and general frailty conditions.

You will work alongside the Clinical Lead OTs, Advanced Rotators and Allied Health Assistants to ensure excellent service delivery whilst having the opportunity to grow your toolkit of transdisciplinary knowledge as you start your career.

Our preferred candidate will have :

  • Exemplary interpersonal skills
  • Preferred but not essential experience in a hospital setting working on acute wards
  • A current Annual Practising Certificate
  • Passion and a drive to make a real difference through your work and have a strong cultural awareness
  • A willingness to work alongside other Allied Health clinicians and leaders to help shape this new service
  • A drive to uphold our Manaakitanga CARE values which are at the heart of who we are and how we serve our community
