About the role | Te Whiwhinga mahi

NZEI Te Riu Roa is looking for a Trade Union Field Officer to join our team. You will report to the Lead Organiser and your role will include :
Planning for regular contact and visibility for your assigned worksites / member groups
Implement campaign and sector strategies to achieve union goals in your region
Identifying, development and coaching of member leaders.

Skills and experience | Nā tāu rourou

Strong relational skills to manage worksite, group and member leader relationships

Has experience working in union or social-impact organisation working to give people the tools to advocate for their cause

An interest in publicly-funded education, commitment to Te Tiriti, unionism and social justice

Demonstrated ability to work flexibly in a team situation.
