Graduate Geotechnical Engineer / Geologist

My client is a specialist geotechnical consultancy in Auckland, and they are looking to add a graduate / junior Geotechnical Engineer or Engineering Geologist to the team.

This is a junior‑level position where previous experience in a related field will be advantageous, e.g. 1+ years in a geotechnical‑based position. However, it is also open to graduates familiar with New Zealand ground conditions and local standards.

The role will have a lot of diversity, working on a variety of different projects. There will be a mixture of office‑based design work and on‑site investigation. You will be directly supported by the senior geotechnical engineers of the business who have decades of knowledge and experience.

Requirements

• Relevant engineering degree
• Willingness to learn and develop skills
• Keen interest in both design and, importantly, fieldwork
• Physically fit for site work
• Good communication skills
• Fluent English speaking and writing
