About the Role

As Clinical Coordinator, you will support the Care Home Manager in the overall leadership and day‑to‑day management of the residential aged care facility. You will provide clinical leadership across the care home while ensuring high standards of care delivery and compliance with health, safety, and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing clinical leadership by promoting best practice, coordinating care reviews, evaluating care delivery, and ensuring accurate and effective documentation.
• Delivering direct resident care and supporting staff in managing residents with complex needs.
• Acting as a role model by maintaining clinical competence and demonstrating excellence in care, service delivery, and professional conduct.
• Supervising and monitoring staff performance, offering support, guidance, and direction.
• Providing formal and informal training, and actively contributing to the organisation’s training programme.
• Ensuring compliance with quality, health, and safety, reporting processes, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
• Deputising for the Care Home Manager when required, overseeing daily operational matters, and consulting with the support office when appropriate.
• Leading Careerforce assessment within the unit and conducting delegated performance appraisals.
• Sharing on‑call responsibilities equally with the Manager.
• Maintaining a professional portfolio that meets NZNC requirements.
