About the Role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi :
This is a newly created senior role that will shape the future of NZAVS. As our manager of Fundraising & Growth, you’ll be responsible for delivering significant revenue growth while increasing our reach, visibility, and supporter base.
You’ll design and lead a bold, integrated fundraising strategy, drive income across multiple streams (individual giving, major gifts, partnerships, grants), and oversee initiatives that inspire public action and fuel our mission.
You’ll also play a pivotal role in expanding NZAVS’ Funding Animal Replacement Research programme. This includes raising the profile of the W.E. Bradshaw Grant, growing its national impact, and building strong relationships within universities, research institutes, and the innovation sector. You’ll help position NZAVS as a leading funder and champion of animal-free science in Aotearoa developing partnerships, securing co-funding opportunities, and driving visibility so that more researchers can access the support they need to replace harmful animal use. If you’re excited by the idea of scaling a ground-breaking programme that accelerates real scientific change, this role is for you.
While you’ll work in partnership with the Executive Officer, you’ll hold primary responsibility for fundraising targets, donor strategy, and securing revenue growth.
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract, with the opportunity for renewal if fundraising targets are met, and the role demonstrates clear financial sustainability.
