About the Role

BDO Auckland Deals Advisory team is seeking an experienced Manager to join our growing practice. This is a unique opportunity to apply your expertise in a dynamic and collaborative environment, working alongside senior staff and contributing to high-impact transactions. You will play a pivotal role in supporting private equity firms, strategic corporate clients and business owners as they execute growth and exit strategies. The role offers exposure across the full spectrum of corporate finance activities, including financial due diligence (buy and sell-side), M&A advisory, valuations, capital raising and financial modelling. This role is based in our Auckland CBD office, 8.30am – 5.00pm, maximum of 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday. The salary range for this role is between $120,000 - $160,000 plus benefits and relocation allowance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support financial due diligence engagements for both buy-side and sell-side transactions.
  • Advise clients on mergers and acquisitions, including deal structuring and negotiation.
  • Conduct valuations for a variety of purposes including transactions, financial reporting, and strategic planning.
  • Assist in capital raising initiatives, including preparation of investor materials and financial models.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support decision-making and strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with senior team members and clients to deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Contribute to business development and practice growth initiatives.

Experience

We are looking for someone who is experienced, has strong commercial acumen and looking for career growth with :

  • Minimum 6 years of CF / valuation experience
  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting and / or Finance
  • Qualified CA, CPA, CFA or equivalent qualification
  • Strong written and oral skills in English
  • Confident, commercially savvy, innovative, detail-oriented
